9 month well check

Today was Ryan's 9 month well-check. He was 19 pounds, 11 ounces and 30 inches long. He's in the 90th percentile for height (not off the chart anymore) and he's in the 40th for weight. Still off the chart for head circumference at a whopping 47 centimeters. He's got a big head. Haha.

We discussed foods - no honey and no peanut butter until at least a year old. We talked about his poor sleep, though Dr. Wiley didn't really have any answers aside from to continue doing what I've been doing and just try to maximize the sleep for all of us in whatever way works. I told him about his crazy sensitivities to medicine, he told me to try clariten for his allergies. He promised me that it is the lowest potency of all the allergy meds out there and that (hopefully) it wouldn't cause any adverse sleep reactions and at the same time, it should help clear up his nose and such so that he will (hopefully, again) sleep better. He said that allergies can, a lot of times, cause sleep issues because they can't breathe well and thus they can't get completely comfortable.

We tried the clariten tonight and so far he's sleeping... so we'll see how it goes after a couple of days.

Hola!

So, I decided to redo Ryan's blog. I'm trying out Blogger for a change. I really like the theme engine for blogger and I like that there are many more "fun" sorts of themes available for download whereas wordpress themes seem to be mostly business oriented.

All of the old posts have not been lost forever; they're located in an xml file on my desktop. I just have to figure out how to get them imported into here. Hopefully they will have returned in a day or so (depending on time).

I'm still working on finding my way around and I need to customize the sidebar and all of that -- but for now, we're doing well.

Have a wonderful day, and I hope you all like the new blog as much as I do.
